Are you looking to advance your coffee career? If so, Royal Coffee NY is now hiring for two new positions in our expanding green coffee business.

As many of you know, specialty coffee is an increasing segment of the coffee marketplace, offering excellent growth opportunities for coffee professionals. Currently, we are now hiring a Sales Professional to service our growing clientele of coffee roaster clients and an Educator for our newly operational training facility.

Who we are:

An independent family-owned company founded in 1994, we are Green Coffee Importers passionate about sourcing and supplying unroasted coffee to the top specialty roasters throughout the United States. We buy coffee from farmers, cooperatives, millers, and exporters in nearly 30 coffee-producing countries in order to supply the needs of our coffee roasting clients. Our office, primary distribution center and newly constructed state-of-the-art education facility, THE LAB, are in South Plainfield, NJ.

The Job Descriptions


Royal Coffee New York Careers – Educator

Who you are:

As an Educator for Royal Coffee New York, you will be a self-described teacher engaged in various areas of specialty coffee. You will be driven to create and teach custom content, familiar with the SCAA coursework and possibly a Q-grader but most importantly, passionate about coffee. Teaching at The Lab will provide you the opportunity to expand and hone your career as a coffee professional while contributing to the improvement of the specialty coffee community through education. You will be high-energy, detail and schedule-oriented person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and teach an ever-developing education curriculum for the specialty coffee community.
  • Be a part of in-house and online content creation.
  • Prepare pre and post class agendas.
  • Participate, organize and teach at industry conferences and events.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organization skills.
  • Self motivated and high attention to detail.
  • Proven experience as an educator with references (SCAA pathway experience is a plus).
  • A college degree.
  • Capable of working some weekends.

Royal Coffee New York Sales Professional

Who you are:

A pleasant, energetic and self-motivated sales professional. You will have strong time management, problem solving and creative thinking skills which will help you to identify and service our growing clientele of coffee roasting customers. This person should be very detail oriented and feel comfortable multi-tasking. You will also need to be eager to learn new tasks that will aid in the purchasing, sales and marketing of our product.

Requirements for consideration:

  • At least 1 year of sales experience.
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel and Outlook. Â
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, relationship cultivation and customer service skills.
  • A college degree is strongly preferred.
