Embrace the cold with this wintery iced tea. This sweet and citrusy beverage turns from green to pink with the addition of lemon juice. The butterfly pea flower syrup we’ll create can be used in a variety of other beverages like seltzers or other flavored lemonades.
Ingredients:
12oz Filtered Water
10oz Sugar
3g Butterfly Pea Flower
Steps:
1: Combine all ingredients, stirring until no crystals remain.
2: After steeping for 5 minutes, strain out pea flowers
3: Bottle and date. Can be used for up to 2 weeks if kept refrigerated.
Ingredients:
10oz Batched Brewed Yuzu White Iced Tea
2oz Pea Flower Syrup
1oz Lemon Juice
Ice
Steps:
1: Mix 2oz Pea Flower Simple Syrup and 12oz Yuzu White tea in a 16oz glass.
2: Stir and top with ice, leaving approximately ½ inch of room
3: Float 1oz lemon juice on top of beverage and it will change from green to pink like the northern lights
