Ethiopia Natural Yirgacheffe Worka Sakaro G1 (GP)

This natural lot comes to us from the Worka Sakaro washing station in the Gedeb district of Ethiopia. Located between 2000–2200masl, Worka Sakaro is one of two washing stations owned by Mijane Woresa and his sons. The Woresa family emphasizes social impact in the communities where they source coffee from by investing in localized cherry production, infrastructure, and education.

Around 400 smallholder farmers deliver their cherries to Worka Sakaro to produce this lot. Upon arrival, cherries are carefully hand-sorted and floated. Then, the cherries are dried on raised beds until they reach their ideal moisture level before being prepared for export.
